The Jazz Standard Presents: Hosea Butler

Hosea Butler III is a man of God, Husband, Father, U.S. Military Veteran, and a nationally renowned music director who's strength in musical precision, execution, and professionalism have made him one of the most sought after musicians and musical minds in the U.S. today. Hailing from a family full of musicians, Hosea took an early liking to the drums around the age of 6. Hosea was a part of the concert/marching band throughout his years in grade school. He also performed in the Jazz band on a collegiate level before entering the United States Air Force. While serving his country, Hosea split his time between wearing the uniform and performing with artist ranging from Gospel, R&B, Pop, and Jazz. During this time, Hosea developed into a well rounded studio session musician, music educator, and director. Hosea has performed with a number of Gospel, R&B, Jazz artist such as Gino Rosario, Patrick Lamb, Marquel Jordan, Adam Hawley and grammy award winner Peter White just to name a few. Now, after serving his country and completing his 15 year tenure in the United States Air Force, Hosea is now focusing his energy on his promising music career in recording, performance, and education.
