QthaElevated is a Wichita-born, Chicago-raised lyricist blending Hip-Hop, Neo Soul, and Spoken Word into a sound thats both timeless and progressive. A U.S. Air Force veteran with eight years of service, he toured the world before turning his focus to music and storytelling. With a Masters in English from UTSA and two BAs from UIW, his academic and lived experiences shape his poetic lyricism. Starting in church choirs at 12 and later performing in concert choirs, his love for language evolved into published poetry and ultimately, lyrics. He draws heavy influence from artists like Common, Mos Def, A Tribe Called Quest, and Andre 3000. As part of San Antonios The S.O.U.L. (Sounds of Universal Love), QthaElevateds intricate wordplay connects deeply with audiences. As one half of MC2, his works include Look a Little Closer, Native Sons EP, Venus, and The Space Tape, showcasing a range from soulful storytelling to gritty hip-hop reflections. QthaElevated has co-written songs for Daytime Emmy-nominated shows and is the recipient of multiple writing awards.
